4-Day Campers

Our Campers come from far and wide with one common goal, to have fun at the Temple! We are so glad you are interested in Camp. This year's Camp is going to be better than ever. We have some new and exciting things in store for all of you. It's all a surprise though so don't expect many spoilers. But you will find all the information you need to know before Camp here. At Bharatiya Hindu Temple Camp, our counselors take the lead in organizing the Camp with their flair and enjoy being role models for a great group of campers.

This year we will be doing four days and three nights of camp with an OVERNIGHT stay from Wednesday, June 18th to Saturday, June 21st, 2025 and the fee for this year’s camp is $$$ per camper for temple members and $$$ for non-members.

CAMPER PREREQUISITES

  • Must have completed 2nd grade by the first day of Camp

  • Must be able to attend all days and stay for the entire duration of the camp (doctor appointments, school, events, etc are not acceptable excuses)

  • Must be able to eat all provided food (outside food is not allowed to be brought in by parents/guardians)

  • Must be willing to participate in active sports and interested in learning about Hinduism & culture

  • Ready and willing to have fun!

APPLICATION ACCEPTANCE PRIORITY

  1. We will accept our 2024 returning campers

  2. We will accept our youth group volunteers who have at least 10 hours of volunteering

  3. We will accept the children of our temple volunteers

  4. If any additional spots are open, we will accept others at that point

Please label all of your items with your name to help make sure it goes back to you if it gets lost.

  • 1 Carry-On Suitcase

  • 1 Sleeping Bag (No Air/Water Mattresses)

  • 1 Pillow

  • 1 Blanket

  • 1 Clean Towel

  • 1 Toothbrush

  • 1 Tooth Paste

  • 1 Hairbrush/Comb

  • 1 Deodorant Stick

  • Medication if needed (make sure it's labeled, will be given to clinic)

  • 5 Pairs of Underwear

  • 5 Shirts

  • 5 Pairs of Socks

  • 2 Pairs of Pants

  • 5 Knee-length Shorts

  • 1 Sweater/Sweatshirt

  • 1 Pair of Flip-Flops

  • 1 Pair of Sneakers

  • 1 Set of Indian Clothing

    • Boys: Kurta/Pajama

    • Girls: Salwar Kameez/Lehenga

  • Laundry Bag

Prohibited Items List

The following items will be taken away by the counselors and returned to the parents/guardians once Camp is over.

  • No shaving/trimming equipment (if campers needs to shave, must be done prior attending camp)
